Software that supports diagnosis or therapy decisions can be a medical device. If it needs a notified body, it is also high-risk AI.

May patient data go to a cloud model?
Only with a legal basis, a data processing agreement and a check of where the data is processed. For many cases a model hosted in the EU or on-premises is the easier path.
Does a documentation assistant need MDR certification?
Not if it only drafts text that a physician checks. Once it suggests diagnoses or therapies, it can become a medical device. We check that first.
We have no IT team to spare. Can this work?
