Your businessBusiness AI

We close the gap between your business and AI.

01 · The name

void
/vɔɪd/ · noun

A completely empty space.

gap
/ɡæp/ · noun

A space between two things. A difference that keeps them apart.

voidgap
/ˈvɔɪd.ɡæp/ · noun
  1. The distance between what AI promises in a slide deck and what runs in production on a Monday morning.
  2. A company in Norderstedt that closes it.

02 · Fifteen years

Every wave had a buzzword.
Every win had the same fix.

We have shipped through all of it. The labels changed every two years. What actually worked did not.

  1. 2011They asked for: Big data. They needed: Clean data.

Everyone wanted a data lake. What worked was fixing the five tables that mattered.

  2. 2014They asked for: Machine learning everywhere. They needed: One model, one metric.

Dozens of models, none of them owned. The ones that lasted had a number someone checked every week.

  3. 2017They asked for: Chatbots. They needed: A process worth automating.

The first chatbot wave died on scripts nobody maintained. The wins automated a real process behind the chat.

  4. 2020They asked for: Demos that write poems. They needed: Evals.

Impressive on stage, unpredictable on Tuesday. The fix was a test set, not a better prompt.

  5. 2022They asked for: “ChatGPT, but for us.”They needed: One task, one owner.

Copilots everywhere, owners nowhere. The rollouts that stuck started with one task and one person responsible.

  6. 2024They asked for: Agents.They needed: Guardrails.

Software that decides needs limits before it needs autonomy.

  7. 2025They asked for: AI Act panic. They needed: An inventory.

Compliance starts with knowing which AI you run. Most companies didn’t.

  8. NowThey asked for: The next big thing. They needed: Production.

Still the hardest part. Still the job.

03 · How we think

Six rules
we don’t break.

  1. 01Production or it didn’t happen.

A pilot is a question, not a result. We count what runs with real users.

  2. 02Evals before opinions.

If we can’t measure better, we can’t claim better. Every system gets a test set on day one.

  3. 03Guardrails are part of the product.

Permissions, limits, approvals and logs ship with the first version, not after the first incident.

  4. 04One task, one metric, one owner.

Big programmes start as one working thing with a number and a name next to it.

  5. 05The EU AI Act is a spec, not an obstacle.

We read regulation like requirements: classify, document, build to it.

  6. 06We make ourselves redundant. On schedule.

Code, evals, runbooks and training stay with you. Leaving well is part of the job.

04 · The people

Small team.
No layers.

You talk to the people who build. No account managers in between, no hand-over to someone you have never met.

You

Your process owner

Every project has a third seat: the person on your side who owns the process. Without them, we don’t start.

06 · Where

One office.
On purpose.

Norderstedt, at Hamburg’s northern edge. Remote-first, on site across Germany, Austria and Switzerland when a room is needed.
